Slick, I'm glad to hear that your CT scan came back clear. I hope you'll start feeling better soon and that you have a great PT meeting with Catty1. Please take care.

It sounds like Slick could use a spa day too..........a nice relaxing soak and a massage - and maybe a nice nap afterwards. Does the soul good.

(you could skip the bum trim)

The clear CT scan is very good news!

Slick, that's such good news on the CT scan. Now I hope they can get to the bottom of your breathing problems. Max looks SO embarassed! I agree with the others - a spa day for you too! Have phun with Catty on Sunday!

    Good news and bad news

The good news is that I spoke to my GP on Friday and she gave me a note to go back to work...just two days per week for Dec. I have an appt to see her Jan 10 and at that time she will re-evaluate me and we'll come up with a work schedule for Jan and Feb.

The bad news is that the "final" results came in from my recent CT scan. Sure, there are no blood clots, but the small node in the right middle lobe has grown by 2cm since August. This is bad because typical carcinoid tumors don't grow that fast. It has to be another kind of tumour. I have to have another CT scan in 3 months and if it's grown again, then it's back to the surgeon for a plan of action.

I have so many questions and my mind is whirlwind again. I'm very emotional and depressed right now. If it's another kind of tumour then my prognosis is not that great even with radiation and chemo.

Again, I'm sorry for venting but I feel so alone right now.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Slick, I'm glad that you'll be able to go back to work for a few days each week and hopefully you'll be able to eventually go back full time. I'm sorry to hear that one of your tumors has grown. I hope that it doesn't continue to grow and that your next CT scan results will be good ones. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent your way. Please remember that you're not alone. We're all here for you. Take care. (((HUGS)))

Oh, but you're FARRRRR from being alone!!

You've got this BIGG Pet Talk Family crowded around you ...
We'll take care of the "worrying" - You just get BETTER!

Anyway - it's the HOLIDAYS - no worrying allowed!
If there was a big concern - I don't think you'd be cleared for three months.

SO- put your Holiday Face on - and have some PHUNN!
