Slick, I'm thinking of you all day and sending lots of positive thoughts. I hope to hear good news after you have seen the surgeon.

    ((((hugs))))

Thank you guys. Right now my challenge is how to get there. After our dump of snow on the weekend the roads seem clear enough but they are covered with ice as it's -8 C which converts to about 17 F. It's not going to get much warmer either. The radio is saying that it's too cold for even the salt to do much good. Oh yes, we have another dump of snow coming either tomorrow or Thursday (depending on which website I look at ) so that should be fun.

However the nice thing is that the sun is shining brightly and there is not a cloud in the sky. The snow covered mountains are spectacular and belong in a magazine. Beautiful BC lives up to it's name yet again.

    My Dear Slick,

I'm so sorry you're dealing with these symptoms. Are you sleeping sitting upright? I thought we talked about that on the phone and I *think* you said you had to. Do you mind refreshing my memory? If you aren't, sitting upright will help you breathe a lot better as it opens all the airways and enables easier breathing. I have asthma and have had to do that throughout my life to be able to sleep and breathe at the same time. (you know, kinda convenient )

I really, really, really hope your surgeon can offer some advice on what to do and ideas as to why you're experiencing these problems. Is your appointment today? I hope the ice melts so that you can arrive SAFELY, honey.

I'm also sorry about Speckles missing from your tree skirt. But I know where she is...she's up in heaven sitting on the BIG tree skirt under God's and the Angel's Christmas Tree in the Sky. She's sitting under the tree and looking down at you and Max - watching over you, keeping you safe.

Please let us know how things go at your appointment. If I can do anything at all to help, please let me know, OK?

    Love you,
    Kelly

Just checking in to see if there was an up date. I sure hope all went well.

Thanks for sharing your winter weather with us, by the way. We are under a winter storm warning until midnight Thursday night. Been raining all day with dropping temps. Supposed to freeze with sleet and snow on top of it. They say this came from Canada!!! I personally think it is just our pay back for having nice weather for so long.
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

Have nothing to report yet. Waiting for test results to come back.

My CT scan came back clear...no blood clots which is a very good thing. However, I'm still having trouble catching my breath at times. My surgeon will not let me go back to work until we get to the bottom of the breathing issue. So.....sir Max has me for at least a couple more weeks. I've not been feeling good "mentally" for the past few days and can't figure out why I'm so down. I think I just need some serious ZZZZ's as well as some "phun". I'm meeting up with Catty1 on Sunday.....I think this is the just the remedy I need. What could be better than meeting a PTer??

In the meantime Max is being very nawty. He's jumping from the dining room table to the kitchen counter and he, all of a sudden, tries to scratch the side of my couch.....two things he's never, ever done before. I'm going to buy a scratch post for him next week. Hmmmm, can a 13 yr. old kitty be trained???

Tomorrow is Max's spa day and when I told him that he was going to get a baff and have his bummy trimmed, he got all embarrassed.....
