Prayers for Sidney from all of us. I hope he is home very soon.
Is he microchipped? If not, when he gets his butt home, please ask your vet to do that. That way if he ends up at a shelter or vet, they will scan him and you will be reunited much sooner. In the meantime....
Please take a photo of him to all the shelters in your area and fill out a lost pet form. Then look in EVERY room of the shelter (including the infimary and where dogs are kept) to see if he is there. Don't rely on their websites or the volunteers to find him for you. You know what your cat looks like more than they do. Ask to look at their DOA file in case poor Sidney was hit by a car.![]()
Make up a flyer and walk door-to-door in your neighborhood and ask if anyone has seen Sidney. Kids especially seem to know where the pets are. Put up a lost pet flyer on your door or in your yard or on the mailbox.
Time is of the essence. Kitties at our shelter are only kept 3 days before they are adopted or put to sleep!
Please see PetRescue.com for many other tips.
Don't panic, but please hurry. We were too late to save Kuhio. I wouldn't want any other family to go through that.
