As far as the PJ comment goes, some dogs just need PJs. No matter how warm or cold your house is. My house is pretty warm, but Winston get's extremely cold during the night so he had to get a pair...lol. He looks rather funny in them, but they serve a purpose. If a dog get's too cold at night, they can develop kidney infections...well, it's common in Dobermans anyway. Not sure about sighthounds.

Ah, I thought it seemed a little odd. But that makes sense .

Also a thought, do you think just a snood would keep her warm enough? She is an indoor dog, after all.

Greys have unbelievably thin skin and fur. My rule of thumb is - if it's cold enough for me, it's cold enough for the dog. So if I have to pile on an extra blanket at night, Giselle gets an old shirt or coat (hence, the PJs) to sleep in.

Carol's coats are best for dogs in mild temperatures, but most Canadian hounds that I've seen have thicker coats like the ones that Andrea makes. Honestly, I don't think a snood would do much at all because these hounds just have no insulation at all. Sometimes, they really do need a coat! A simple $30 coat can last you many years.

Ah, OK, maybe I'll stick with the coat. I really value your opinion . I think Jenny's coat is a bit thicker than most greys, but still rather thin.

You think the PJs would be warm enough for outside, too? Or are they inside-only? They seem to cover most of the body.
