What did you eat on Turkey Day?

Hey, Kay, WHY didn't you eat anything?? Are you feeling OK??? That list sounds awesome!!

Nooo.. I meant I didn't eat everything on the list.

I had turkey, mashed potatoes, Mac n Cheese, and green bean casserole.
I had a slice of pecan and a slice of apple.

Turkey(smoked and baked),mashed potatos,dressing,chocolate cake and whipped cream,rolls and some ice cream desert

I ate:
-beans
-mashed potatoes
-corn
-green beans
-rolls
-cranberry salad

Every year, we'd go to my grandmother's house where Mamoo would fix a TON of food. It was all SO good (everything she made was) every year, but since this is the first year without her, we decided not to be traditional. It was for our mind's sake - we didn't think we could handle upholding the tradition without her.... plus, none of us can cook like her.

So instead, we had a MEXICAN FIESTA!!

I had:

Homemade salsa with chips
Shrimp Burritos with:

• beans
• homemade Mexican rice
• spiced shrimp
• lettuce
• tomatoes
• black olives
• sour cream (just a dab)
• green onions

Homemade Mexican rice on the side, of course
Dairy Queen icecream cake that says "Happy Bird Day!" - yes, the guy who wrote it thought we were nuts.
