You should be beaten with a wet noodle for running down people's naming process.
Sorry, it was too funny, I had to vote for it.![]()
I wouldn't, I'd get way too confused. And they would have a harder time telling their names apart.
It's cute, I like it.
It's too cutesy, I don't like it.
It can go either way, but is usally good.
It can go either way, but is usually bad.

yuk, I hate that. Names should mean something, not just be cute.

I knew this one family where their names ALL started with the same letter, parents, kids, pets...it was slightly creepy.

I like pie!
It depends on how many kids they are going to have. My three cousin's names all start with C, but they are all very different names, so people don't make the connection.
There was, however, a family in my hometown - all the kids older than me, that did the same thing, but had ten or twelve kids, and ended up with one girl named Candace and another named Candy ...
I know one family that has a 3 C's, but one uses a soft C sound, so it doesn't come off as cutesy or too obvious. It can work, I just don't think it usually does. For instance, I knew two families who did this where I definitely didn't think it worked, one had 7 daughters with 'J' names (two went by the nickname Jen) and one family that had 10 kids with e names. It also seemed to increase the mixing up of kids names, much to their annoyance.Originally Posted by Karen
Does anyone remember that woman whose family just got a house with a whole bunch of stuff because she just had her 18th kid AND PLANS TO HAVE MORE? All of her kids names start with J (Jinger, Justin, Joseph, etc).
I would be slightly upset if my parents didn't really give any thought to our names and just did it with the letter for the sake of itself. M
Although, my sister and I are both As (Angelique and Alexandria) and both of our brothers are Ns (Nicholas and Nicholas).![]()
My girlfriend's family does that. Madison, Mally, Mana, Mara, Muffin...at least she broke the cycle calling one of her rats Rin, but I believe Rin is short for an M name of some sort. My animals just get random names that stick.
