"Grease Markers" that the local weather man used ... what?

Before Doplar Radar and computers~ meteorologists forecasted local weather on the Weather Segment of the News.

It was always a man, of course, and he used a Grease Pencil to show where a cold front , or, a warm front was located. He had to work fast, using his grease pencil for displaying areas of either sun or clouds, rain or snow.


The grease pencil always made a squeaky sound as he proceeded to explain the recent weather pattern .(dots for snow, slashes for rain, etc)

Used a pay phone? Yes.

Dialed a phone? Yep.

Used a dial to change the TV channel? Yes.

Bought Cigarettes from a vending machine? They have those now?

Played a pinball machine? You bet.

Drank soda from a glass bottle? Sure have.
