I don't know. I'm not especially fond of the look for myself but I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing "faux!"

I have faux fur inside some of my thick sweaters, and a really lovely pink vest.

I am a fan of faux suede, though, but not a fan of real suede. Faux is softer.
