Isn't he just the most handsome guy? I really, really hated to have to rehome him. He had what they call "the glitter gene" in that his fur had a silver tinge to it. He was so darn strong too. He was like a gentle giant except when it came to punishing Miley, my oldest Aby cat. He let JuniRose nurse on him when she was a kitten, but Miley, no way, she was his prey. Now JuniRose picks on her, but doesn't really hurt her the way Ti did. Ti bit her to pieces, as some of you may recall.
I spent so many hours interviewing people for his rehoming. I did it all over the internet over a couple of months. I drove him to his new home in Conn. several hours away. It broke my heart.
My heart is healed now and I vowed that I must keep in touch, a couple of times a year, to make sure he is being taken care of. He looks a little slimmer than when I had him. His new home has two dogs and another cat and is a big house with lots of stairs. I think he gets a workout going up and down the steps.
Anywho, I love to look at his photo - and I think I can still remember his scent and how his fur felt to me. ..... silly, eh?
Oh well. He is happy. So I am happy. And we all know that Miley is as happy as she is ever going to get.
