Corinna Marie (Kager) Brubaker
Corinna Marie (Kager) Brubaker, 45, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2006, at her home in Columbia Falls.
She was born April 8, 1961 in Anacortes, Wash. to Barbara and Robert E. Kager. She attended Conway Grade School and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1979.
Corinna Married Timothy Brubaker on March 17, 1979. She has raised two children and just became a grandmother on June 18, 2006. She was a Girl Scout Leader for eight years in Mount Vernon, Wash.
They moved to Montana in 1994.
She worked in retail sales for the past 10 years.
Her interests were her spinning wheel where she spent uncountable hours making yarn for numerous projects for herself and others.
She loved lighthouses and carousels and orcas, all of which she has a large collection.
She spent time with the Flathead Spay/Neuter Task Force and was very active with Crossing the Barriers.
She was always working on some community project. She loved animals and spent uncountable hours on pet forums.
Corinna is survived by her parents, Barbara and Robert E. Kager of Mount Vernon, Washington; her husband of over 27 years, Timothy Brubaker of Columbia Falls; her daughter, Clarissa (Roger) McCallister; her son, Benjamin Brubaker; her granddaughter, Charity Jean McCallister; a brother, Robert W. Kager of Plummer, Idaho; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews in the Northern Puget Sound area; and also assorted fur kids.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Columbia Falls.
The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Flathead Spay and Neuter Task Force.
Arrangements are with the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.

Thank you for posting Corinna's obit, Karen. And thanks for the links & addresses, Phred. My prayers are with the whole family, this is going to be a long, tough weekend. Corinna was a very special lady, and I'll bet she'd be happy to see her furrkids mentioned with surviving family. That was very sweet.![]()
What a beautiful tale of all that Corinna was, is and did for this world.
Now she's being rewarded in heaven...I think God took special notice of all that she did and her heart was big enough to fill MANY people!
I'm glad that she's up there with any of her lost loved ones and critters...they sure are lucky to have her.
