Actually, I have "only" lived here about 12 years. Born and raised in Massachusetts, and now less than a mile from the Mass. state line. I lived in Falmouth, Maine for 5 years before moving here to RI. That was a big change. Car insurance TRIPLED.

Maine: drive straight for 4 miles and you are still in Maine.
RI: drive 20 minutes and, if you are still in RI you went around in a circle!

Maine, my last year there and the reason I moved: 127 inches of snow for the winter.
RI, my first year here (and it was only slightly below the average): 6 snow storms, total of 8 inches for the winter.

Maine: 3 seasons: winter, mud season, and the Fourth of July.
RI: 4 seasons: Rainy Season, Summer, Autumn, and Ice Storm Time.

But I love them both, te hee.

Hi Freedom, my husband's up there, in Portsmouth. Sure is pretty, but man, the wind is fierce! my mom was from Mass., and my brother is in Maine...guess our families have been crossing paths! uh-oh, I don't like the sound of that last item, though
