I hear ya!Even matinee prices around here are getting rediculous.
We tend to go to only go to the big blockbuster flicks that we anticipate (like Star Wars, LOTR, "the super hero flicks", ect.), everything else we wait until video.![]()

Our cheap-seats used to be $1.75 - they moved to a new location and it's now $4.45 - only 1/2 the price of the expensive theater which is $8.75.
I always hid my own popcorn from home in my bags - I ain't spending another $10 on stuff from the theater!

But when you take him in a car he sticks his head out the window." -- Steve Bluestone
I'm probably not going to see it anyways, but that website is a bit crazy. I ride horses, and there are some that just seem to have no nerves. My percheron, for example, he's the most dense thing ever! It is nearly impossible to get him to move without a crop or small spurs. So I can see how they could easily mistake it as "abuse", seeing as if the horse is stubborn, it may look like you're beating it to someone who's never ridden a horse like that. As for the deaths, that's very sad, but that is the problem with these kinds of things. We take an animal and make it do something that could easily get it hurt. I'm still probably not going to see the movie. Not really my type of movie.
