    Update 30 Ocotber 2006!!

Bit of an update on Penny...

We ended up back at the vets today Penny may have to have her left eye removed, the vets thinks either Glucoma or possible a growth/ tumor behind her eye. Pen goes back in to the vets in the morning to have her pupils dilated so the vet can look back and see whats happening behind her eye .

Good thoughts and vibes would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks for all the good thoughts everyone!!

Penny went back to our vets this morning and stayed for a good hour or so, we got a call about midday saying we had to take her down to Melbourne (about 1 1/2 hours away) for possible emergency surgery... our vet saw what she thought was the lense of Penny's eye torn away so sent us off to an eye specialist .

It turned out being a very severe cataract and her body has had a reaction to it and her eye is quite inflamed, we have drops for her long term that need to be givin once a day and we need to call back to the specialist's in about 2 weeks to let them know if the swelling and irritation has lessened any. And to see if her other eye has gotton any worse (Start of another cataract).. if the other eye has worsened then we will organise to have both eyes operated on.

So heres hoping the other eye stays the same and the swelling goes down.... and we can get some weight back on to the little girl .
