Yup, not too many years ago.

Yeah, you mean with a rotary dial? Yup - my hometown was one of the last that I knew of to get "touch-tone" capability.

Used a dial to change the TV channel?

I wasn't allowed to or couldn't reach at home, but I did up at Aunt Bertha's house in New Hampshire - didn't get much reception on most channels, so we'd turn until we found something!

Bought Cigarettes from a vending machine?

Never, or any other way, either!

We had the old game that was no electricity required "pinball" - it's still somewhere in the family.
