Oh yep, this another one of my very strong views (sorry). I've been known to knock all fur items on the floor in shops (and even once when I was feeling VERY annoyed, I nearly spat on them too).
I don't see why people feel the need for real fur now when there is so much 'good quality' faux fur around. I have a couple of coats which have faux fur on the cuffs and hood. The only problem is, in Europe, some things are listed under faux fur when they actually are not. I always check garments very carefully before purchase.
I try to limit my leather-wearing as much as possible. I would wear a leather jacket no more than I would wear hot coffee, but for school shoes and riding equipment I have little choice. Wool is a different matter, as it benefits the sheep to be shorn in summertime, although I currently have no clothes made of wool other than a few scarves and bobble hats at the moment.![]()
