Well age mostly. I love a good shepherd, but I got tired of barking and wanted a calmer dog, docile and borzois dont wag their tails even and a good walk or run works. I always admired them, as you tell by my website story, and always did serious obedience work etc, but just wanted a docile, quiet, big baby- alias = the Borzoi. I got my first 18 years ago, and never went back. Although they are big, easily 4 foot at the head, they are calm and quiet, and actually rather funny at times. Here is one of my youngest running into a 3 foot snow bank. ( I live in the mountains as you can see by the video- it is a crack up!)
