    question

I had to buy Jerry a new tank today because his other one somehow got a big crack in it and was leaking.

I got him a bigger tank, a 2 1/2 gal. tank that came with a glass top. Is it ok to put the glass top on? I'm worried he wont get enough oxygen with the glass top on. I know i can buy a screened top for the tank too. Do you think i need to add more rocks? or plants?

thanks. I'll put the top on soon.
I'll probably add one more plant and a few things as decorations.

I'd be afraid of lack of oxygen, aswell... but I've never used glass hoods for any of my aquariums. I'd probably buy a screen top just to be on the safe side... but thats me. I'm a rather paranoid person. =D

    I agree with Chilli
If it doesn't have holes I would buy another one.

Don't use the glass top if it doesn't have any holes... you could get a screened one for around $5 at the pretty much any pet store If you don't want to spend your money on a screened top then you could buy some live plants, which let off oxegen. With the screened top or not, I suggest you get some! It decorates the tank, too ^^

We had some live plants but they died on us. I'm going to get him some live plants probably next week. And i know this particular tank comes with a screened top so i may just get that. Thanks for the advice!
