I agree with you Cataholic that a lot of times the abuse does not come out until after the woman is out of the household and the proceedings are started because the female then feels safe enough to make such things public. But in this particular case, I do not feel that he was abusive. Yes, it may be more wishful thinking than anything. But as a Beatlemaniac from way back, I somehow just feel that all of us who have taken every opportunity to try and pry into their private lives and minds would have had some sort of inkling of this type of behavior. What I have seen seems to indicate that he is too emotionally weak to be abusive.
