I'm actually not quite sure on what makes you fraternal and identical. It has nothing to do with what you look like, I think it is have one "sac" or two...??

Identical twins come from one egg, that's split in two. Therefore you come from one sac.

Fraternal twins are two eggs that are fertilized at the same time, so you'll have two sacs.

    Hoped that helped!

I am not a twin myself, but I do have identical twin sisters, Mary and Alice.

Mary had fraternal girls, Kristin and Sarah.

I have another sister, Lynn, who has identical boys, Chad and Travis.

And Travis has fraternal boys, Jack and Brody.

Yep, 4 sets of twins in the immediate family! Not a record, I am sure, but amazing to us nonetheless! ME??? No children! But I do have 27 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews, with another on the way!

Lol your both are very pretty tho and I love your hair!

I think Sara has longer hair lol

I have known a few twins in my life, the last 2 where SO annoying they kept saying things at the same time and laughed the same lol.

Thanks for explaining that Meg, lol.

I want to have twins when I'm older! LOL But I don't think it runs in the family.

Nice thread! I remember I wanted a twin sister when I was little

Megan and Rachel, you are SO different to be twins, you barely look like sisters to me!

Beth, I think I can see a little difference between you and your sister, specially in your eyes.

I always found interesting how some twins are totally identical, and others can be so different.

Lol, nope in all of the pictures I posted, I have the longer hair, but now, my hair is shorter than hers...i think.

Me and Sara often say the same things at the same time. It can be completely silent in the car, and then all of a sudden, both of us, and the same time, will say the same thing. It's kinda creppy.

I actually HATE being a twin. I can't stand people treating you like you dont have your own identity. I'm always "one of the twins" or "the twin" I'm hardly ever "Beth". The only time it comes in handy is on the basketball court or if one of us gets hurt and we're alone. On the bball court, we can usually sense what the other is going to do, and we are just "there" at the right time, it's actually pretty cool. And also, when one of us gets hurt, the other one can usually sense it. Not sure how, but we can.

My husband has twins. A girl and a boy (Robbin and Ron). You would be surprised how many people ask him if they are identical. He always replies, "God, I hope not. One is a girl and one is a boy!"

It could run in your future husband's family, perhaps, but sometimes it happens in families that never have a history of it, too!

Growing up there were twins across the street my same age, but one of the twins, Kelly, and I looked more like each other than she and her twin Terry did! Kelly and I were both brunettes with straight hair, blue eyes and freckles, and tallish, Terry we think stood a bit on tiptoes to meet the minimum height requirement for the Marines (she made it!), and had blonde, wavy hair!
