That was a very good report and update Slick. I'm so glad to hear you felt well enough for all that.
Rest well and happy recovery dear Slick!
From Decker with Love
So glad to hear you got such good news. Yearly CT scans, piece of cake. The nerves that are firing and causing the pain will settle down in good time, but feel free to use all the meds you need, its a nasty feeling. I had surgery at the end of April this year to remove a lump from my left breast. They took a 24 gram chunk out of me, I'm real tiny so it's real noticeable. It took a good 3 months for the nasty little electrical nerve zaps to go away, they were breathtaking. Nothing as extensive as the surgery you had my dear, but reassurance that the nerves will settle down soon. Rest easy, enjoy the love from Max and feel better soon.

I'm so glad to hear the appointment went well!
Yeeeahhh!! For driving yourself!
Hugs to you and Please hug that sweet Max for me, he's done such a great job making sure his meowmie is comfy all the time!
It took a good 3 months for the nasty little electrical nerve zaps to go away,Oh QofP, please say it isn't so!!!!! I don't think I can take it that long. Yesterday I doubled the dose and felt a bit better so now am taking 400mg 3 times a day. In a week's time, I may up that to 4 times a day if necessary.
I took another sleeping pill last night along with the pain meds and had a real good sleep.....11:30pm right through until my bladder woke me up at 6:30 this morning. Man, did that ever feel good sleeping all that time. I've only got 4 more pills left so I guess it's time to wean myself off them. I wonder if over-the-counter drugs would help??
Just heading out to run a few errands and get my walking in for the day. Have a good rest of the week everyone.
Oh yes, and it's a long weekend for us Canucks.....Happy Thanksgiving.![]()

I'm so sorry to say that it did take that long. But the incidence of them became further apart. Not every time I moved my left arm. But now they are all gone and I don't miss them AT ALL. Yours may be quicker as it truly hit me every time I moved my arm. Every day you're one day closer to being all better. My doctor couldn't give me a true timeline, but said it could take up to a year. I almost clobbered him.Originally Posted by slick
Enjoy your thanksgiving. I'm glad your prognosis is similar to mine - all good with continued yearly monitoring.

By no means do I want to take any attention away from dear Phred but I have to update this for a second.
My internet and email have been down today but since the internet is up now, I need to hurry and get this out. Every day when I check my mail, there are cards from Pet Talkers and today I received two more. I would love to spend the time to send each of you a PM or email but because of my pain, I still can't sit at the computer for any length of time.
Please accept this big THANK YOU to all of you who have sent me cards and to those of you who have kept me in their thoughts and prayers, and who have called and emailed, another THANK YOU. It's because of you that I've been able to overcome this and now we all need to target our good thoughts to Phred. He will survive this challenge, just as I have survived mine. Isn't it amazing what the love and support of Pet Talkers can accomplish???![]()
