I would say it goes with the territory...I brush Ritz daily, which minimizes the hairy problem, but it does collect in her favorite places. We also keep our house pretty cool both summer and winter, and Ritzy is 'indoor only'. In the past, my various indoor/outdoor cats seemed to have a much greater problem shedding....I wonder if a constant temperature helps alleviate.

Ritz seems to shed more when she is upset....like if I take her to the vet, she becomes a "fur vending machine"...
