Slick, you've been through a lot, but I really hope the bad days will turn to good days soon. It's awful to be in pain and I'm SO sorry to hear it. Not sleeping well makes it worse of course.

Hey Slick. I hope you're feeling much better today. May the pain get less and less every day. I know you'll be glad when you're well and can enjoy life again. I hope that's really soon for you.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Slick, so sorry you had a rough night I hope the days and nights get easier!
Slick, I feel horrible for not posting is this thread yet. I recently lost a family member to cancer. I'm so ecstatic that you beat this and are cancer-free now.
My prayers are with you; hoping the pain subsides soon enough and you can recooperate easier.
God bless you, Slick!

The pain IS bad, but she sounds good otherwise...I hope the doc she is seeing can help on Tuesday, as she will have an x-ray beforehand.

This on works just FINE, everyone knows where to look for it,
and it's bookmarked and sends Email Alerts to hundreds of Pet Talkers.

Today has been a funny day. It all started with a phone call at 9am (waking me up) from neighbour Betty. So much for the morning walk. Layed back down and then the phone rang a 1/2 hour later from another friend Betty who is an RN and she is coming by tomorrow to check on things. Layed back down and didn't wake up until after 12 Noon. Then Catty called and we had a nice chat. Stayed up for about another hour or two and spoke to Laurie then went back to bed and just woke up now...6:40pm. All afternoon Max was sleeping on the pillow next to me and now he wants his dinner. Seems he's worked hard today looking after Meowmie.
Why am I in such pain and why couldn't I get out of bed today??? Last night I took a sleeping pill and a few hours later I was still awake so took another one. Maybe it's the sleeping pill leftovers that I'm feeling today. Can't answer that but now that I'm up there's lots to do.
I have not had anything to eat yet today so need to get something nutritious into my tummy before taking any more meds. Sure, I'm down 7 lbs but starving is not the way to do it.A friend came over yesterday and brought me some wonderful curried chicken so I'll bake that for dinner tonight along with a salad and a bit of rice. MMMM, anyone want to join me???

Oh yes, I don't have any pictures of Dr. Joel because I didn't have my digicam with me. Let's just say he was the "whole package". He was about 5' 8", dark skin, huge biceps with a tattoo of an angel on one of them, beautiful smile, bald head, nice round....ahem....you know and his scrubs were tight-fitting. Not only that, but I found out that he was training to be a nurse, not a doctor. He had the most wonderful bedside manner and on the day my chest tube was removed, he was right there with me, holding my hand and stroking my head. It was wonderful....really.![]()
OK, I'm off to pray for other people now.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened.
Some days are like that - sounds like a little good food, some more Max cuddles and a lot of relaxation could be a good rX for today.
I am so happy to hear that things are progressing, despite the pain. Hopefully that will ease soon and you'll be back in the saddle - giddy up!!
For now, enjoy the mellow and take extra good care of yourself![]()
