OUCH! Poor Marty! It isn't anyones fault, especially not yours Megan. Please don't blame yourself for this, accidents happen. Prayers going out to you and Marty. ((HUGS))
Marty has been at the vet since about 7:00 am now and he'll probably be there for two days. I hope everything goes alright.![]()

That is pretty bad, but, I'm sure he'll be fine, and, back to his old self in no time at all. My RB boy, Bruno, was ten when he was attacked by another, much larger dog, and, he made a full recovery. His injuries appeared to be worse than what Marty experienced, too, so, maybe that will help ease your mind. Dogs are resilient and I'm sure he's in good hands.

Ah Poor guy!! The vets will do a great job of getting him back on his feet! Sure Looks sore, I wish you all the best!
I'm sure he'll be fine. As finn's mom said, dogs are resilient. My RB Chihuahua, Tinker, stupidly attacked a Boxer when he was around 12 and he was fine in no time, though he did spend over a week at the vet and we spent a lot of money to get him well.
How scary. I'm glad to hear he's getting the help he needs. I am sure he'll be back on his feet in no time. He's in my thoughts as you are too.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
