Ah.. it's not from the breeder. The lady friend of mine has a female Shih Tzu she rescued from the shelter. She took her to the vet to be spayed, but the vet told her that she was spayed already, and issued her the certificate so she can be eligible for the cheaper license fee for the altered dogs. (In where I live, licensing is mandatory, and is $70/unaltered, but only $19/altered ones)
With that assurance, one day she dogsat the Bichon Frise for her sister, and this litter was the result!
Obviously there was some mistake, and that the dog wasn't spayed. But my friend was able to find home to all the puppies, and the mom dog will be spayed soon after she stop nursing her pups, so all is well now.
I have two dogs already. I wouldn't go through all the trouble to convince my husband just so I can buy another one!
