    First night at home

My neighbour will be banging on my door in an hour to go for my short walk (as part of my doctor-prescribed physiotherapy) and I have yet to shower but wanted to report on my first nights sleep at home.

I was not tired until well past midnight but when my head hit the pillow, it was lights out and I slept solid until about 4:30am. Woke up in alot of pain so knew it was time for some meds. While I was waiting for the meds to kick in, I called overseas, then slept again until 7:15am.

Max has been totally velcro and has even slept on the bed for the first time in months.

Oh yes and I'm sure the doctor would disapprove, but I had a just a little nip of brandy before going to bed.

I'll write more later today, I promise.

Hi, Slick! I'm so glad you are home and it's so great to hear from you. Glad to hear that you slept good when you finally did get to sleep. Hopefully you will start to sleep a bit longer and won't wake up in any pain. Enjoy your short walk and make sure you keep those walks going. I love that Max is being your little velcro buddy and we promise not to tell the doc about that nip of brandy .

Slick, I'm so glad you're home! And your first night doesn't sound too bad at all. Hope it won't take long until you won't need the pain meds anymore. And good that you have a neighbor looking for you!

    Dang....that shower felt good.

More later. No, no, not about the shower, about other stuff like the hospital staff and friends and.....geeze, why don't I stick the other foot in while I'm at it......

O.K. Here's a tough one for you Slick.

Which would you prefer - a sponge bath from Joel or a shower in your own home?

So glad to hear you had a good night and that you had a velcro cat.

    xxoo me
