Ya, I hope you got a lot of "Plastic silver ware and napkins that included the Mrs Dash), and all those large plastic bags with the draw strings too.

Slick, I hope your pain lessens with every new day at home. The main thing is that you catch up with your rest. Dr. Pete and Max will be there for you.

Take your time in posting on Pet Talk , We can wait as long as it takes .

Glad to hear that you are Coming HOME!!!!!

Quite a collection you came home with, Phred. Didn't you get gloves? You know the ones with talc inside, they're quite handy for dishwashing and garden work.

Slick, in a few hours, Dr. Pete and Max is in charge! You'll be safe.

    Get better!

    (((((hugs)))))

Never crossed my mind to pilfer any gloves ... next time!

We should start a thread of just Hospital Tails -
most ex-patients could prolly write a whole book from the experience.

I'm home safe and sound and Max and Dr. Pete are here with me. I left with an empty fridge and I came home to a full one....a casserole from my neighbour, a ton of homemade chicken soup from a friend and a bunch of salad fixins from my catsitters.

I need a nap right now and later one I'll read this whole thread and respond to any questions...expecially about Dr. Joel.

Can I cut this hospital band off now???

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    First night at home

My neighbour will be banging on my door in an hour to go for my short walk (as part of my doctor-prescribed physiotherapy) and I have yet to shower but wanted to report on my first nights sleep at home.

I was not tired until well past midnight but when my head hit the pillow, it was lights out and I slept solid until about 4:30am. Woke up in alot of pain so knew it was time for some meds. While I was waiting for the meds to kick in, I called overseas, then slept again until 7:15am.

Max has been totally velcro and has even slept on the bed for the first time in months.

Oh yes and I'm sure the doctor would disapprove, but I had a just a little nip of brandy before going to bed.

I'll write more later today, I promise.
