I just read about this on a German news website (www.t-online.de) and came here to see if anyone here knows more. The article I read said more or less the same joycenalex has posted here. The French Secret Service has obviously gotten the news from the Saudi-Arabian Secret Service, and the French Premiere Chirac has been informed last Thursday about Bin Laden's death. The French Department of Defense would either conform or deny these news.
Apparantly it has been reported earlier that Bin Laden had to deal with a severe attack of typhoid in August, and couldn't get any medical help because he had to hide.
Well, I guess if he's really dead or not, we will never know for sure....
