After seeing some of the horror stories both posted here and at the vet's office, any dog from a byb or puppy mill.

The dogs cost me the most on average, just because of their sheer number around here! They are also very good at finding new and exciting ways to injure themselves! Just spent 100 bucks today on Anvik--has an abscess!

But I have a $4000 cat too! Fortunately, he's healthy now!

I dont know but Im geussing larger the animal more money it take's to look after them.

Birds are cheap and vet check ups are cheap and there food and vitamines lol

Horse I would have too say too because they can be alot of cash but also alot of fun and love.

    Unless you own an elephent..

I want an Emu when we move (Also when I save up) sure there big birds but are actualy realy cheap.

Depending on the reptile the upkeep can be VERY expensive. Iguanas for one start out very small and grow very large. As they grow the need new set-ups. Our iguana has had 5 different set-ups in the 5 years we've had him and each was very expensive. A lot of reptiles are that way.

My vote is horses. One of my former roommates had one and it cost her a lot of money to keep him boarded, groomed, fed, and to get the proper medical attention.
