If she is still in hospital this Saturday, I will go and visit her again and hopefully she will be feeling better. Unfortunately, I can't go during the week because the hospitals are fairly strict about visiting hours, and for me to get there on a work day, I likely wouldn't arrive until after 7pm (traffic is a nightmare; on Saturday it took me over an hour to get there). At least if I go on a Saturday, I can plan to visit with her for a while.

When I was there, her neighbour Betty took Pete home, as they had just been warned about a thief on the ward and the nurses had advised to leave nothing in the rooms. Hopefully after Slick has made it home I can go visit her there and show her all of the neat stuff Dr. Pete came with!

If I know anything, I will let you know.

I'm glad to hear Slick got a bath and a good meal- you really appreciate things like that
And if she can enjoy this it is the beginning of recovery. I am sorry to hear that the hospital was not safe for Dr. Pete! You shouldn't believe it- a doctor in a hospital

    Slick,

Working in a hospital is O.K.

Until the paperwork has a face attached to it.

    Be well, my friend.

Gini, thanks for the continuing updates. I'd be lost without them.

I’m so glad to hear Slick has been moved to a private room - although it doesn’t sound all that private. However, it must have been wonderful to have a bath, and a yummy meal. Does this mean she’s got the chest tube out?

I hope she’ll be able to sleep well and the pain will go away. Now, we just need to hear some good test results.

I can’t believe that anyone would steal from a hospital - what a sad world! Ok, here we do need to keep valuables in a closed cupboard, but it’s in the room at least.

Sending hugs and wishes for a speedy recovery.

    Thanks for the update, Gini!

I am so happy to hear the good news about Slick! Thank you Gini for updating us!!
One question though: I have no idea what "Dr.Pete" is.... Is it a doll or a bear? Or what is it? Is it possible to have a pic of "it"?

Dr. Pete Feline is a fully examined doctor who can look after Slick when she is home and can be seen on page 42 of this thread.

So glad she's got a "private" room now. Rest should come much easier, especially if she gets her pain meds as required. Thank you for keeping us updated on her recovery!!

Slick, rest, heal and get healthy. We're pulling for you!!

Gini I'm glad to hear the update. Sounds like the pain is really terrible and I hope more med mean more comfort for Slick.
When you get the chance to talk to her again please give her all my love.
