Oh, good - better pain med administration, private room, and we hafta get Mom to bring back Dr. Pete! He can stay on her bed with her, less chance of getting swiped if he's tucked in with her, and that's his purpose - to be there with her, and help omfort and heal her.

I think of Slick every day. I made some homemade chicken soup, thinking of her while I prepared every ingredient.

I am so thank-ful that Naomi has put forth the effort to keep her informed of how much we love her, and I am so grateful to you Gini, for taking the time to share her moments with us too.!!!

I applaud your power to communicate with us!!!!

As I post this reply, I have her on my mind ~~~ so strong--- and I will continue to do so, Praying that her pain will eventually seize, that she will meet Dr. Pete and that she will wear her T-shirt , from Pet Talk, knowing that all of us love her so very much!!!

Oh Yes, I am thank ful, Lord, that you are listening to our prayers.

I am so glad that she ate and enjoyed the food!!!!
    Thank-You Gini!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that Slick is now in a private room and is getting some decent food too. I hope that the nurses will take better care of her and give her pain meds on schedule so she won't be in so much pain. Lots more prayers and positive thoughts are being sent Slick's way. I also hope that Dr. Pete can be sent to her again so she can get a chance to cuddle with him.

I think I need to explain just a bit more about Dr. Pete. Slick said that her room doesn't have a door - it has a curtain - so it isn't all that private.

Because she needs to walk up the hall or use the bathroom - she can't have Dr. Pete with her every second.

Her direct comment was "this is Vancouver" and he could be stolen in a minute. Apparently that is why she had to put her wallet and keys in a locked vault at administration. It is a sad comment on our society today isn't it?

I just want you all to know that she loves Dr. Pete - and I am sure once she gets home - she will have plenty of time to get to know him and have some good talks!

I am quite certain that Dr. Pete will continue nursing her every minute when she gets home.

Thank-You Gini, for another up- date!!!!!!

If she is still in hospital this Saturday, I will go and visit her again and hopefully she will be feeling better. Unfortunately, I can't go during the week because the hospitals are fairly strict about visiting hours, and for me to get there on a work day, I likely wouldn't arrive until after 7pm (traffic is a nightmare; on Saturday it took me over an hour to get there). At least if I go on a Saturday, I can plan to visit with her for a while.

When I was there, her neighbour Betty took Pete home, as they had just been warned about a thief on the ward and the nurses had advised to leave nothing in the rooms. Hopefully after Slick has made it home I can go visit her there and show her all of the neat stuff Dr. Pete came with!

If I know anything, I will let you know.

I'm glad to hear Slick got a bath and a good meal- you really appreciate things like that
And if she can enjoy this it is the beginning of recovery. I am sorry to hear that the hospital was not safe for Dr. Pete! You shouldn't believe it- a doctor in a hospital

    Slick,

Working in a hospital is O.K.

Until the paperwork has a face attached to it.

    Be well, my friend.
