You are aware that dogs eat grass to throw up. it's kind of a cleansing thing for them. Is this something more than that?

    That's a myth.

I'm glad to hear someone else say this. My Beagle, Daisy, loves to graze on plants and grass. I sometimes call her my giraffe (because she'll stretch her neck to get to a plant)! This never makes her sick.

I hope the vet is able to figure out what is going on with Coco. It is so frusturating when you can't figure out what to do to help them.

It could also be her food causing this to happen. It's very very common. What does she throw up? Food or bile?

Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!

Certain foods used to make my RB dog Sami throw up. She'd no sooner eat then it would be right back on the floor. Other foods, no trouble. She too was a grazer and loved to lay in the grass and nibble on it. Now that my Sasha is 12 years old, I've found that certain treats that she always used to get now make her throw up.

I agree that you need the blood work and a thorough check with the vet but you should also look at what your dog is eating.

    Update!!

I called today to get coco an Appt. to be spayed! Her appt. is Oct. 3rd...well we take her in the 3rd and she gets to come home thursday the 5th! Her actual surgery would be the 4th at about 6 in the morning! I taked to the Vet. Assistant and told her about coco's throwing up and she said that the blood work will rule out some of the possibilities that it could possibly be and i might want to bring in another fecal sample just in case, because the heart guard doesnt cover a couple of worms that she could possibly pick up!! im crossing my fingers!! this throwing up is just getting out of hand!! She threw up not more then 20 minutes ago on my kitchen floor!! It's driving me crazy because she looks fine, acts fine...other than she's a little more tired than usual, but she's always been a sleepy puppy-ever since she was a puppy! she still plays and gets excited and stuff!! Im just at a loss for words with her, i hope it's nothing serious!!
