Melissa - I'm sorry that I wasn't around, I was doing a lot of cleaning. I developed a very bad case of contact dermatitis from some of the cleaning products I used when I found out Cattulus had ringworm and now that the skin has nearly finished peeling off the back of my hands (they look as though I've got 2nd degree burns), I can go back to the cleaning again. I could barely curve my hands enough to type, let alone hold a cleaning tool for nearly two weeks. Anyway, enough of that.
I'm glad that all went well with your trip, even though it took more time than you expected. How wonderful that Beans is such a calm cat, which made the trip easier on you all. Thank you for doing this for both me and Beans. And thank you for the photographs which show him far more clearly than the shelter photos. He has a lovely face that is both gentle and intelligent.
Please do take him to the vet for an ear check (I can see they are dirty in the photos and am surprised the clinic didn't do anything about them), and perhaps they can clip his claws if you find that they are creating a problem for him. We'll pm about finances separately. Did Michelle give you his medical records?
When are you thinking of introducing him to your bedroom cats? I've changed things around today so that I have a front bedroom for him upstairs. There is a thick carpet in front of low boxes that are in front of a love seat for him. He can get up into the window from there. You can let me know how much he can jump since Queen S. says this is something we must watch. Hopefully he can't jump up onto my chest of drawers. As Q.S. says, Beans will show us what he can do.
