Thread: E Coli found in spinach

Hybrid View

  1. Most identified cases develop severe diarrhea and abdominal cramps. Blood is often seen in the stool. Usually little or no fever is present. The symptoms usually appear about three days after exposure, with a range of one to nine days.

my best friend posted that to me.
this whole case is very scary. as weve ate the bagged kind before,, but the frozen kind.

kinda makes you think about not eating spinach again.

Yikes, I got some days to go then before I'm out of the woods. I live on this stuff. No cases reported yet in Illinois, but that doesn't really mean a whole lot.

Yep I live in Wisconsin and we've been the biggest hit. Our school serves raw spinach daily in the salad bar, but we've had no cases. The food service had to post warnings and take precautions.
