I have been frosted!
Thanks Kfamr for the signature!
I see white on that dogs chest, not much but she looks too much like kiki to not have it checked out imo.

Do y'all think it's possible that in this amount of time she could have traveled up here? (From central Florida to North Florida) If so then I can drive out to my shelter and check there. They don't post their animals on Petfinder.
This is just so heartbreaking and I feel so helpless. I wish I could do more.
It's worth a shot. That would be great if you could check it out - just to be on the safe side. That's so nice of you to offer.Originally Posted by .sarah

been gone all day, just checking if there's any news...Still praying & sending good vibes & (((hugs))) to you, Kay.
BTW, very cute song rendition, Karen. Now it's stuck in my head & I'll be singing it all evening. At least I'll be "worrying" to music now.
Won't you come home, Kiara? Won't you come home....
I think it would be a good idea to check. I have no idea the distance from you two but someone could of picked her up, took her home, and dumped her again.Originally Posted by .sarah
Don't give up hope Kay. I'm confident that she'll come home.
I don't think that dog is Kiara, Ki has a lot more white on her chest than that dog has and Kiki is smaller with a different facial structure I think..
Kiara is the only thing I can think about lately and I really, really hope she comes home soon. I also feel so helpless, as all I can do is look around at shelters in your area on the internet. I wish I lived closer so I could help search for her..
Journey - 2yr old Australian Shepherd
Ripley - 5 1/2yr old Doberman
Dance RN CGN FM - 7 1/2yr old Toller
The face is way different too, it aso looks much bigger than Ki...and she wasn't wearing a choker...
I found this on palmharbor.com

Living with my parent's: Jack (Lab/Beagle), Micki & Mini (JRTS)
RIP Kyra: 07/11/04 - 11/3/12; Shadow: 4/2/96 - 3/17/08
Unfortunately, Jacksonville is about four hours away from her. But, arieas it may be worth double checking on the one you saw. Saying they had her for a "while" may mean for a few days now as opposed to this morning. Oh, I hope we find her soon.

We need to end this day on a joyous note - Kiara back home and Slick
out of surgery and on to full recovery - cancer free.
She does look different and bigger, I was just hoping.
I sure hope these shelters scan for chips, some don't.

I just called the shelter. I told the Lady that she would probably be described as a Rottie mix but that she could also be a Black and Tan coonhound or any other black and tan dog. I described her best I could, but she still only looked to try to find Rottie mixes. Apparently the only Rottie mixes that have come in has been an adult male and a female puppy.
The only thing I'm worried about is going to the shelter and bringing home something that my foster puppies could catch. I'll search around on the internet to see what I could do to prevent me bringing home anything but I don't want to put them at risk. Also, there are two cities near me that have a humane society/animal control, and I'll call those in a minute.
