Thread: Kiki is missing

Kay, I'm not completely sure of your exact location, but I've been trying to look at shelters in Florida. I did find a dog that looks similar to Kiara. I may be wrong, but thought it was worth a try. The information on her was posted 3 hours ago. The site says they think she's about 7 years old, which of course, Kiara is not...but still thought you may want to check. Still praying for Kiara's safe return. I can't imagine how worried you must be.

    From:

    This DOG - ID#A003089

I am a female, black and brown doberman pinscher mix.

The shelter thinks I am about 7 years old.

I have been at the shelter since Sep 13, 2006.

This information is 3 hours old.

I see white on that dogs chest, not much but she looks too much like kiki to not have it checked out imo.

Do y'all think it's possible that in this amount of time she could have traveled up here? (From central Florida to North Florida) If so then I can drive out to my shelter and check there. They don't post their animals on Petfinder.

This is just so heartbreaking and I feel so helpless. I wish I could do more.

It's worth a shot. That would be great if you could check it out - just to be on the safe side. That's so nice of you to offer.

It sure wouldn't hurt to try Sarah. I know what you mean about feeling helpless.

been gone all day, just checking if there's any news... Still praying & sending good vibes & (((hugs))) to you, Kay.

BTW, very cute song rendition, Karen. Now it's stuck in my head & I'll be singing it all evening. At least I'll be "worrying" to music now.
Won't you come home, Kiara? Won't you come home....

I think it would be a good idea to check. I have no idea the distance from you two but someone could of picked her up, took her home, and dumped her again.

Don't give up hope Kay. I'm confident that she'll come home.

I don't think that dog is Kiara, Ki has a lot more white on her chest than that dog has and Kiki is smaller with a different facial structure I think..

Kiara is the only thing I can think about lately and I really, really hope she comes home soon. I also feel so helpless, as all I can do is look around at shelters in your area on the internet. I wish I lived closer so I could help search for her..

Kay, your ad on Fido Finder does not have a picture, you should upload a picture of her.

Unfortunately, Jacksonville is about four hours away from her. But, arieas it may be worth double checking on the one you saw. Saying they had her for a "while" may mean for a few days now as opposed to this morning. Oh, I hope we find her soon.

She does look different and bigger, I was just hoping.

I sure hope these shelters scan for chips, some don't.
