    Dear friends,

I just got off of the phone with Slick - a last call before the Sir Jury tomorrow.

Only Slick would have a list a mile long of things to do before tomorrow morning. She has a list of phone calls to make that make me tired thinking about it.

She gave me her whole schedule - and it may be a few days before I have anything to tell you. She said they do things differently in Canada. They have a step down procedure - intensive care - to another level and then finally to her private room. She may not be in that private room (with a phone) until Sunday. She can't even order the phone until she is actually in the room.

In the meantime, I should hear from her friend who lives in the same building that she does. Just as soon as I hear ANYTHING, you can count on me letting all of you know immediately.

They showed her a film of what to expect - and folks - flat out - she is going to be in a lot of pain!

All I know is that tomorrow at 2 PM Pacific Standard Time God is going to be so busy answering all of the calls going up for Slick.

Her cleaning lady arrived today and was a whirlwind and the place is just spotless - so at least she won't be fretting about that in the hospital!

I made a point to tease her about something at the very end of the conversation and I was able to hear her great laugh before we hung up.

All we have is each other..........................all of us.♥♥♥

Well, it's supposed to be sleeptime, but who can sleep??? 12:30am folks and I'm still awake working on my "list" that Gini doesn't think I should have. I'm going to close up shop and try and get some zzz's before tomorrow, but before I "retire" (and God knows I wish I could.... ) I want to thank you all once again. I've come to the conclusion that Pet Talk has been my rock and I thank each and every one of you.

Tomorrow afternoon as I drift "far, far away" you will be on my mind and I'm sure the first words out of my mouth when I "come to" will be "Let Betty know how I am so she can call Gini....." I really don't think I'll be on the computer for the next two weeks, so please, hold off from emailing and PM'ing me anything. Thanks.

As a final request....please do not worry. Kay and Kiki need all your attention now. Please redirect your prayers in her direction. She really needs them now. Thanks.

Slick I haven't posted much on this thread because I can never find the right words to say in a situation such as yours. This doesn't mean I haven't been reading and won't be praying for you today. May God wrap His arms around you as you head toward that hospital and give you His peace and then give you a successful surgery and quick recovery. (((hugs)))

Slick, it's almost 5AM over there, so you should be sound asleep. I hope you wake up well rested and are as ready for this as you can be - I know you are! From what you said on the phone, you're as organised as my mom were in such situations. LOL!

It'll go just fine my friend, the surgeon knows what he's doing and the rest of the staff will spoil you as soon as you wake up. Take it to the limit girl!

I'm sending tons of positive thoughts your way as you drift into the dreamworld, and I'll be looking forward to updates from Gini.

It's already almost 7:00 am here, which means 5:00 am for Slick, so I'm sure she's awake already and possibly almost ready to leave. Seems they always want you at the hospital at the crack of dawn. I woke up and my very first thought was "Today's the day, Slick's having surgery today." Slick, I know I will not stop thinking about you today until I read a good uppydate and know everything went well. Gini, we're counting on you!
Well....that's what I posted in Thursdays....guess I should have checked here first.

Good luck with everything and know that we're all here for you!

Wanna make a bet??? Just got off the phone with dear Laurie. Max is sitting right beside me as I make one more phone call then head back to bed. Don't have to get up for another 3 hours.
