As the day gets closer I'm sure you become a bigger bundle of nerves. You are in my thoughts and I've just reminded my ferret fur angel Trouble that he needs to be diligently looking after you for the next several days. If you hear bells know that it is Trouble doing his job - he loved toys with bells. Please take care.

Slick, I just KNEW your heart would be OK! So...... tomorrow, no that's today, you'll be going to see the anesthesiologist. Will he be calculating how much you can handle?

Now, don't let them dope you until you're safely back home! We can't have you out there in the rush hour on drugs! 5-10 mg of Diazapam won't harm you, once you're sitting in front of the TV.

You're in my throughts and I'm sending lots of positive vibes to you all the time.

Love and hugs - and headbumpies too.

    PS. How's the soup?

Well, it's supposed to be sleeptime, but who can sleep??? 12:30am folks and I'm still awake working on my "list" that Gini doesn't think I should have. I'm going to close up shop and try and get some zzz's before tomorrow, but before I "retire" (and God knows I wish I could.... ) I want to thank you all once again. I've come to the conclusion that Pet Talk has been my rock and I thank each and every one of you.

Tomorrow afternoon as I drift "far, far away" you will be on my mind and I'm sure the first words out of my mouth when I "come to" will be "Let Betty know how I am so she can call Gini....." I really don't think I'll be on the computer for the next two weeks, so please, hold off from emailing and PM'ing me anything. Thanks.

As a final request....please do not worry. Kay and Kiki need all your attention now. Please redirect your prayers in her direction. She really needs them now. Thanks.

Slick I haven't posted much on this thread because I can never find the right words to say in a situation such as yours. This doesn't mean I haven't been reading and won't be praying for you today. May God wrap His arms around you as you head toward that hospital and give you His peace and then give you a successful surgery and quick recovery. (((hugs)))

I talked to Slick this past weekend and I KNOW she will do this and that Gini will post here when she hears from our gal. Not sure how long her surgery is/was, but she's been on my mind all day long!

Just have to share this. I had the weirdest dream. I was on the table and the anesthesiologist was about 110 years old and shaking like a leaf. He said he had come out of retirement to do this operation. He gave me some drugs but for some reason I couldn't go to sleep. He gave me some more. I was still awake. I could see visitors that were waiting to see me and one of them was Michael Douglas. Anyway they keep pumping the drugs into my IV but still, I was talking to everyone. Finally the doctor said to me "Well, there's no more that we can do now. You are finished." So I started yelling at them that the cancer had to come out if not now then when?? Last thing I remember before waking up was me and a team of doctors huddled over a calendar.

That does it, no more cheese for dinner. Randi, I made the soup yesterday and it was good. Have 4 portions in the freezer.

Q of P: I'll listen for those bells. Thank you.

Everyone else: Thank you for your words.

Good morning, hey it is me pounding on your monitor along with Rascal, Annie and Emma.

I got home late last night from the Christening in Napa. I found myself on a bench up there - it was clear and beautiful and I was gazing at a huge field of grape vines - and I was alone. It was a perfect time for me to have a few words with God - and I asked Him to stay by your side as He has done all along.

I will talk to you later dear friend - just wanted to check in this morning.

Do you feel the love coming from all over the world for you?

I'd lay off that soup, Slick, it obviously doesn't agree with you.

    Hope all goes well today.

Oh my.... Slick, it doesn't have to be written to know that I'm thinking of you and will continue until I hear an update. Fingers, toes and anything else I can cross will be crossed.
