REST IN PEACE GRACIE. NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT I DON'T MISS YOU.
I would probably say it's wrong. If someone named their hamster, for example, Osama bin Laden, then I don't think it would say much good for the person. There's plenty of names out there that won't offend anyone else.
It depends on many things, in my mind.
I don't have a problem with a cat named Hitler. I would have second thoughts of a pit bull by the same name. A chihuahua named Killer is cute - a rottweiler by the same name is not. You know what I mean?
My frien's mother, who was a Czechoslovakian immigrant, named the kids' hamsters Stalin and Kruschev - can you tell she didn't like them? It was mutual - they never bit Cheryl, but the hammies bit her mom every time.
I have mixed feelings like Jenluckenbach...
a name is just that.. a name... nothing evil about it.
however,, for someone to name something after them and think of 'them' as they are name picking.. is just..... wrong in my opinion...
but to name something because someone likes the sound of the name is fine by me.(hopefuly that made sense) LOL
No one should name there pets Hitler,Satan,ect...IMO
They are alot of names out there that are not bad.

I personally think a name is a name. It has nothing to do with the person.
On the other hand, that's just weird naming your dog after someone like "Hitler" because there is that connection.
