I still haven't figured this out. It really sucks not having my regular email working. I really hate computers sometimes![]()

Well, let me suggest a trick a tech taught me... Cut your computer on and off, on and off, on and off, on and off.... Spend about 30 minutes just cutting it on and off, keep doing it.
I thought the guy was crazy when he told me to do that but it made my computer reconize what the problem was and we were able to correct it... IF one of those times reloading, a window pops up that isn't suppose to be there...... that is your problem.. Mine turned out to be a fire wall that was preinstalled on the computer.
I have used this trick and solved a lot of problems... Most of the time another window didn't open but the thing worked right after doing it. It's worth a try..... Post back and let me know if it works for you.

Do you mean just push the switch button rapidly on and off? OR boot the PC up and then turn off? Wait until computer is completely off then push on again?Originally Posted by Laura's Babies
Try uninstalling the program - go to Start/Settings/Control Panel and click on the Add/Remove Programs icon. Browse down to your Outlook application and click the "Remove" button. This will bring up a dialogue box where you can select to let the application repair the program. HTH Let the application try to repair the program. This usually works.

When you're Google-searching for help on this -
be SURE you're only reading information that's intended for YOUR version of Windows and
YOUR version of Outlook or Outlook Express ...
There are dozens of "repair programs" out there and they DON'T all work on all
versions of the e-mail program!
You're trying to make a "repair" that will be difficult for a trained tech ...
you might want to seek "professional help" before the problem gets worse.
At least talk to the neighborhood 15 year old computer geek.
Another source of help is the local High School ...
ask to talk to the Computer Lab teacher or assistant - often they "moonlight"
as 'puter consultants.
Good Luck!!

I had a problem like this one time and after re-installing all Office it was still there. Until I deleted all the cookies and temp files and ran Scandisk (one of the programs that clean your harddisk). This did the trick.
I have another type of problem with outlook my clickables on e-mail don't click one tech said it was becouse of my pop up blocker. I can beleive it cuz on my new wireless notebook the pm box lets me click but tells me it's blocked .Have to then go in to the pm area and retreve the pms .Trying to find something else but it's what my server uses.
