I really hope Allen can sort his problems out now now he's on something new, I'm praying for Allen and really hope he gets better, he's lovely and I so dont want him to have to go!....I really hope his peeing stops and he's healthier soon. Bless that sweet boy.
I can't believe I have hardly any time to check these things!!! I just started my senior year in high school last wednesday, and my life has been chaos!
I'm sorry I've been missing out on all these posts!
I'm sorry that Pouncer and Allen are having pee problems, and I'm VERY glad that they're gonna get help for it!!! Can't wait to hear about their nice recoveries from the peepeeworld
Also: You should tell the vet about that tech, you're prolly not the only one who has had a rude telling off. Whether she could not tell you or not, she should have explained why she couldn't, and should also have the right mind to at least pay ATTENTION to her clients!

Kim, I'm sorry to hear about Allen and Pouncer. At least you now know it's a medical problem. I sure hope that the meds will work and that this won't happen again. Both Sunny and Storm get some wet mixed in with their dry food and I also add some water to it to give them added moisture. They love it and I'd also have a fountain but Sunny loves to play in the water so I had to give mine away. I sure hope that Nancy will also be able help you with Allen. Good luck and please continue to keep us updated.

Kim, I am sorry about how the results turned out.Did it turn out better than you had anticipated?
*sends Pouncer a virtual massage* Reeeeeelaaaaaaaaaaaaax keedee.![]()
Let's hope this will be the beginning of the END of the problems. Do you see them drinking at all? With fountains, I would think they would drink more (mine do), not less.
(You might want some of that valium yourself!)
Loving meowmie to Archy & Binky (RIP my sweet boy 10/13/10)

Funny thing is they WERE drinking more with the fountains. I keep them as clean as possible so I can't figure out why they aren't drinking enough. Maybe they want Evian water instead of good old tap water?Originally Posted by orangemm
I will be making slurpy type meals with the wet food for everyone. I just have to figure out HOW to do it because I usually have 4 cats meowing and nudging their noses into the can (Allen always stands back and waits to be served
) I have enough trouble just dishing the food out, let alone mixing it up! LOL
Yes, hubby and I decided last night that the valium would do me just as much good as Pouncer. I feel just awful that he's been feeding off my own stress. I told ya he was a sensitive boy!
Angelique, I am THRILLED with the vet's diagnosis. I am never upset when a diagnosis is made. It means its a medical issue and we can treat it and watch to make sure we keep them healthy, then watch for signs its returning.
Oh, one last thought: maybe I need to get a second Betta since they all drink from Mr. Fishie's bowl! Then I can have two betta bowls serving up flavored water! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Kim - I know a lot of Brita pitchers are to be had at second hand stores.
And there are inexpensive generic filters you can use.
I had a roomate once who had a cat - I had one that I kept in my own room - and when he was out, he always went to the OTHER cat's water dish!
She used Brita - I used tap!
Apparently it tastes more like rainwater than tap water does!
You could also try keeping tap water in a pitcher til the chlorine dissipates.
Just a thought.

Did ya ask the vet if he could throw in a couple more Valium for the owner????Better yet, crush it up and put it in his coffee.

DO NOT BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE!!
Bottled water isn't a bad idea, or the Britta filtered water that was mentioned. We use bottled water for all our animals. You can buy 1 gallon or 5 gallon jugs and then refill them at the grocery store. It's much cheaper than buying new jugs every week.
