    Some of these suggestions have completely put me off eating one!

    Leaving that to one side for the moment, they are indeed bananas!



    Now I ask you, have you ever seen a suntanned banana before? I couldn't get a good representation of the colour, the best description I can give is metallic purple. Really! The skin is a kind of pinky, purply, coppery shade, but the flesh is perfectly normal banana colour and they taste like normal bananas.

    If any of you UK people want to see them for yourselves, then get yourself into Morrisons this weekend.

    Husky's mom, I can't get that link you posted, it is not coming up for me. The name of the link seems to imply that the pictures are coming from Australia, but the bananas were from South America. Where are yours from?

    Everyones' suggestion had me laughing!!!!

    Yes, I have seen those kind of bannanas at my local grocery store too, but have never eaten one.
