I have not posted on this thread up to now. I have, however, followed it and have kept you in my thoughts and prayers. I have admired your strength to deal with this since you found out. I do not know your reasons for leaving Pet Talk but unless it is something that causes you great distress and stress, I would urge you to rethink that decision. As you may remember we lost our son last summer. At that same time, my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and has made it through her surgery and chemo and radiation (still has a few more months left on chemo). When we are weak, we need to rely on those who care about us and can support us through our difficult times. When we are strong, we need to give that support. That is what life is truly about. My sister was able to give me support when I needed it. She felt her cancer less important than our trememdous feelings of loss. Probably most importantly it took her mind away from her thoughts and fears. By the same token, I needed to think about something besides my loss and grief. Watching her deal with the fears, going through the chemo, surgery and radiation and more chemo has helped me see the amazing strength in those who have to go through this.

You are one of those strong people that WILL come through this. Those of us who have had something to worry about or grieve about can learn from you. And you can rely on the people here who will support you during this time. I think that is the greatest thing about this Pet Talk. We can care, learn from, support people that we have never met but who like us love animals. Perhaps that common love of animals is what draws the compassionate people who are on here.

Again if you need to leave for you own mental well-being, do so but please have someone keep us updated. If it is because of what someone said or what you think someone or some are saying, ignor them. There are a lot more good people on this board, than critical ones so please don't go because of someone.

I probably have not said this well but I hope you understand what I am saying. Pet Talk needs you and I think you may need Pet Talk.
