this is a cottage out on an island across from us

We went to a place called the Wye Marsh. it is a conservation area and they have lots of critters there

Here are some birds that they are rehabilitating

These are some young Trumpeter Swans that they are Rehabing from lead poisoning and injuries

Great Blue Heron (he just lives there by choice he is not a rehab bird)

I am not sure what kind of snake this is but we scared it by accident and it went into the brush and as we were looking to see if we could see it we scared a frog and it jumped over the snake. all of a sudden the snake took off after the frog. he missed but it was very cool to watch. here he is after missing the frog

this is a young barn owl. she said he will be ready to start flying in about 2 weeks but he still has some "baby fat" to lose. We got to pet him. they are INCREDIBLY soft, unlike anything I have ever felt before. she says that is what makes them silent fliers.



On the way home we had to stop at a hotel because the weather was really bad. Brian took a picture of Teddy and I in the morning

Grand pics!! Ty so much for sharing these. Those labs really lo-o-ove to swim, don't they?
Wow, i'm so sorry your little brother got injured with the chainsaw. That's awful, but it sounds like he'll heal up just fine. The pics. with him and Teddy are great!
The paddleboat looks fun too. Sometimes those things are so tiring!!! (But good exercise, so yanno).
No kidding about the sunsets.

That owl is amazing. I've never touched one before. I bet it's really soft. It's amazing how you got the shot with the wings staight up like that..and that wild goat is beautiful too. Those snakes really camaflouge well. I could hardly see it.

Looks like a blast! Though I don't see how anyone could not want that handsome Teddy around.
Those sunsets were gorgeous! Absolutely amazing.

Thanks everyone. Teddy had a wonderful time on vacation. We left on Saturday and he is STILL tired. LOL

We did a lot of fishing too but it always seemed the camera wasn't around when we caught the fish so unfortunately I don't have any pics of that.
