how long did it take to housetrain your puppy?

Tango was 100% reliable by 4 months old, but I could trust her way before then. She only ever had one accident, the night we got her and that was completely my fault. I'd say she was probably fully housebroken within 2 days, but I just don't trust pups fully before the age of 4 months...if that maks any sense.

Tia still isn't 100% reliable - Dachshunds have got to be one of the worst breeds when it comes to housebreaking. I'd say she's about 98.9% reliable now, but she's almost 7 and it took her this long to get to this point and we trained her the exact same way as we have any other dog.

Winston came housebroken as a 7 year old adult.

Morgan was 100% reliable by 7 1/2 months, but we didn't get her until she was 4 months old and her foster home hadn't worked very hard on housebreaking..

I am still working with Bailey and his house breaking. He is almost 9 months old, but does best if he learns things slowly. He rarely has accidents, and it's only ever pee - never poop. He has had one accident in the last few months.

Bella took three months. She had mastered where to go poopy very early on but I really can't say she was housetrained until three months because occasionally she would have a pee accident in the house. At three months she got run of the house and was no longer crated. Ripley was a rescue and came to me housetrained.

My very first poodle, an apricot toy, was trained in a weekend. She was the smartest little thing and the reason I got so hopelessly hooked on this breed.

Bailey was 13 weeks old when he was housetrained.
Timmie (now deceased) must have been born that way, I only showed him once, praised him profusely and that was it.

I'll be getting a new puppy in 3 weeks, so better dust off the crate and start
to puppyproof again.

Cody was a holy terror when it came to housetraining. She also had an incontinence problem. We finally had it licked at 7 months old but not before going through gallons of Natures Miracle.

Nicki was honestly two days. I have only ever had one or two accidents since then, and they are always "emergnecy" situations like diarrhea.

In my defense, to not sound smug, we also had someone awake and home 100% of the time at the time. So she was never alone and someone always watched her like a hawk.

I dont mean to sound "smug" either but coco had it totally down in about a week, @ just 9 weeks old then! She had a couple accidents right at first because she has a queezy tummy and it took us a while to figure out what food wouldnt make her sick, so it was just diahrea a couple times, once on the carpet, a couple times in her crate! but she learned very fast!
Cainan on the other hand wasnt socialized very well when we first got him so he is going to take a little longer, he's very good during the day when i take him out every 45 minutes to an hour, but at night when there is more stuff going on and EVERYONE is home he has a accident every so often, but he's slowly gettin it! just going to take a few weeks longer! I feel like we're making HUGE strides to success

Each dog is different & picks up potty training at their own pace. My RB
Shep/Husky mix learned in 1 week & never forgot it once. It was amazing
how smart he was. I'll probably never find another like him.

Smokey was another story. It was more like 3-4 months before he
was reliable in the house alone.He has been very good about it since then.

Maggie took about 4 weeks to train and never had accidents except when
she had a bladder infection.
