    Hee hee - that is the only turtle of the eight I saw that had the green stuff all over his shell. It covers parts of the marsh they were in, but any other turtle would probably have cleared a spot, or come up therough the green stuff vertically so a minimum of gunk got on his/her shell, but not this one. This was the "special" turtle! (The Karen turtle - I am well known for getting marker, pen, whatever - all over me and not noticing.)

    *dies* That's awesome! I love a good picture of a Painted Turtle. They're always so darned cute. (I'm a little bit biased with having two, but....) GREAT picture Paul and Karen. Thanks for sharing. And now.... Miss Hoppy anyone?
