female, its my fate lol when I got both Happy and Misty I went looking for males and wound up with females, when I was looking for a toller pup, I was thinking about trying for a male again, but decided to just skip a step and look for a female lol and low and behold? I found just the pup I was looking for..and she's a female lol

I voted for both. I have a male dog (Nebo) and he's sooooo not clingy he's pretty independent. He has his moments were he likes to be petted and hugged but generally he doesn't want that much attention. All of the family dogs we've had (Reggie and Smokey) are/were male...and they really aren't as most of you have described males either, well Smokey followed my mom everywhere and he was her shadow, but neither are/were real "lovey dovey" or cuddly. Reggie hates to be held, Smokey would want to be picked up then a few seconds later he wanted right back down.

Sydney is the first female dog I've ever lived with and she is by far the most cuddly dog. If she had it her way she'd just be petted and loved ALL day long.

I want my next dog (husky) to be a female, because Nebo seems to prefer the company of female dogs.

Males I prefer. Males are easier to train. Females can be stubborn if they want.
and I am talking about dogs. lol

Wait a minute. You live in BC..... You're getting a belgian pup in a few months..... You will show it, so it will be of good blood line.....

Visa lives in BC..... She's purebred..... And pregnant......

( can you see what I'm thinking? )
Haha, yep, I'll be getting a pup from Visa's litter. I've been waiting for this pup even before they (Jordan and Marla) figured out what male to breed Visa to. =P They should be born VERY soon! I'm so stoked!

oh I hate this kind of question - I like both! or unisex, too. whoever needs me first.

I had mocha (girl) and crayola (boy), I couldn't compare! mocha is sweetest and crayola is just cheerful-est.
rest and sleep softly sweet locke..

Females. I've had 2 males and 3 females my whole life, and I loved them both, but I just have a much much MUCH stronger bond to my females. They're always more loving towards me, and I dunno, they seem to be more Loving to me.

Females, hands down. Don't get me wrong I love my boys just as much as I love my girls. The boys have qualities I could do without though.

None of my girls mark, neither does Buster, but Charlie and Jake are big time markers. At the boarding facility I used to work at very few males didn't mark and very few females did.

My boys lick themselves way more than my girls too. I don't like seeing or hearing that. Telling them to stop 10 times a day can get annoying too.

Like GreyhoundGirl said a male's belly is less attractive than a female's.

My boys and girls are all very clingy, but I'd say my girls are more clingy than my boys. Nacey is my velcro dog, she is rarely 2 feet away from me. Nova and Bitsy always want to be in the same room as I'm in. The boys aren't as clingy as the girls, I don't have to be in their view at all times. I love that my girls always want to be with me.
