female, its my fate lol when I got both Happy and Misty I went looking for males and wound up with females, when I was looking for a toller pup, I was thinking about trying for a male again, but decided to just skip a step and look for a female lol and low and behold? I found just the pup I was looking for..and she's a female lol

I voted for both. I have a male dog (Nebo) and he's sooooo not clingy he's pretty independent. He has his moments were he likes to be petted and hugged but generally he doesn't want that much attention. All of the family dogs we've had (Reggie and Smokey) are/were male...and they really aren't as most of you have described males either, well Smokey followed my mom everywhere and he was her shadow, but neither are/were real "lovey dovey" or cuddly. Reggie hates to be held, Smokey would want to be picked up then a few seconds later he wanted right back down.

Sydney is the first female dog I've ever lived with and she is by far the most cuddly dog. If she had it her way she'd just be petted and loved ALL day long.

I want my next dog (husky) to be a female, because Nebo seems to prefer the company of female dogs.

I've only ever owned feamle, and probably only will ever own females because I have a serious issue with the aesthetic appearance of certain male dog anatomy (especially the larger breeds, which is all I'll ever own)

I get soooo grossed out in class when my make pups get "excited" so I just couldn't ever have a male dog of my own.

Now the same anatomoy in cats is an entirely different story since its nowhere near as obvious! LOL
