    That is so sad.

Even though we enjoy seeing the animals at the zoo, I sometimes feel that many of them might have fared so much better if left in their natural habitat!!!!

The polar bear has also been listed as an endangered species, which makes it even more un-bearable!!!!

I am always saddened to hear of the death of a zoo animal. They are
in zoos to be safe, but then accidents do happen. The Indianapolis zoo
lost some penquins in a highway accident recently. They were being moved
so that rennovations could be made to their home inclosure.

I heard about this last night. I am only 20 mins from the Cleveland Zoo. It's pretty sad.. I rarely go to the zoo, though because I don't like to see animals being in small areas, which is just wrong, especially for the wolves.
You're the one sure thing I've found so you better stick around...

Aaaaw, that's really sad. Poor bear, unfortunately sedating 'wild' undomesticated animals is a risky business, and I'm so sorry that this turned out to have the worst possible outcome

    RIP sweet Alcor.
That is so sad. I hope it was not the fault of any person or the move itself. I hope it was of natural causes & he died peacefully & painlessly.
