IV feeding at home...........eek!

The IV feeding is going quite well now

I've gotten used to it and know what to do (and NOT do). I started giving him a full body massage imediately afterwards, and he just LOVES it! He acts like he is in heaven

Therefore, now he lays down quietly and does not move an inch while I'm feeding him, cuz he knows he always gets the rub-down after!

The bad news is that we found out that he has the beginning of kidney disease

It's not known yet if it's acute (reversable) OR chronic (not reversable, but possibly treatable).
Either way, he will be on IV feeding for a long time, and even maybe the rest of his life. Starting tomorrow, it only has to be every other day, and can go to 2-3 times a week depending on what the outcome of his kidney renal insufficiency is.

I do know that I won't keep him alive having to live this way if he is in pain or suffering much. It's not something I even want to think about now though.
He is feeling better, which is very encouraging to us and the vet. Just yesterday he was doing a 'crazy kitty' run around the house, and even played & wrestled with our kitten Rudy!
