Nope, still don't see it.Have you ever seen a dead animal after it's body has
be laying out in the sun for a week? The body becomes bloated & the features become distorted as it decays. Not a pretty sight.

I was curious about this and looked at the pictures too and it just looks like a run of the mill mixed-breed dog to me. I've worked in a shelter and have seem some pretty strange mixes in my day, so this didn't seem odd to me at all. There are a lot of snub-nosed breeds of dogs, and mixed with something like a chow or some other equally thick-furred breed of dog could very well make a mix like this. Poor thing.

If it was such a mystery, these people should have been a little more quick on the up-take and made an effort to collect the body and examine it.

It looks like a dog on my block. The eyes look a little weird in the first pic but what else is so "evil" about it? Poor Dog

I saw that earlier...I think it looked like a plain dog too, maybe a chow/rott mix or something. If it had gotten hit by a car or it was sitting there for a little bit, it would look wierd..animal control should be the ones picking up roadkill too, so it's not just decaying there. I was surprised to read that it had sat there for a couple days after being discovered-and that no one had taken it for their own? People tend to do things like that.

It has kind of a puppy face.
And they said they couldnt describe what it was cause the snout and ears didnt match or whatever. Well umm thats the joys of mixes they are MIXED and get different tributs of both dogs.

These wildlife people sure are smart..

At the bottom of the article, it says it was eventually picked up and DNA tested to be a wolf/dog hybrid.

I don't think it looks evil and was a little shocked to read that so many were scared of him. I agree with whomever said the story had a yetti-esque quality. Poor guy, was probably feral and trying to survive the best he knew how.

It's a hoax, in my opinion.
It doesn't look evil. It looks like a doctored photo of a puppy, a man and a monkey, (or something.)
"A horrible stench" was mentioned in the article.
Yes, just like the Yeti. Another animal that has never been found.
"Wildlife Officials and Amimal control officers wouldn't go near it." Bull. Don't tell me no one would at least take a DNA sample, (a q-tip of saliva), from a dead animal to perhaps go down in history as the discoverer of an unknown genus!
